Background

Bannister Beach is a beach located in Table Town. As children, Martin and Pat frequently visited the beach, where Pat would always get Martin to bury him in the sand to become the center of attention, but never vice versa, which Martin remains bitter about.

In "Beach Day", Kiff, Barry, Beryl, and Martin visit Bannister Beach. There, Kiff is forced to deal with her french fries getting stolen by a seagull girl, Beryl ends up in a volleyball match with her high school rival Dennis, and Martin finally gets buried in the sand, only to get stuck in it.
