That was not very pilot.
Bigby Hind, "Kiff's on a Plane"
Sgt. Bigby Hind is a minor character in the series Kiff. He is an instructor at the Table Town Pilot School.
Profile[]
Sgt. Hind's cameo in Fly Guys.
Sgt. Bigby Hind is a pilot who teaches a course for junior pilots at the Table Town Pilot School. Hind was also an extra in the pilot-themed film Fly Guys, appearing in the volleyball game scene as the main character's partner (who tries to give him a high-five but gets left hanging).
He is the target of frequent jokes due to his name being pronounced identically to the phrase "big behind". Hind claims to be unfazed by this, saying that he has "heard them all before".[1]
Appearance[]
Sgt. Hind is an ostrich and is typically seen in uniform, wearing his pilot hat, sunglasses, a scarf, a necktie, epaulets, and shoes.
Personality[]
Sgt. Hind testing Kiff.
In "Kiff's on a Plane", Kiff enrolls in Sgt. Hind's course. As the course is meant for juniors, Hind's tests do not involve any actual flying and instead consist of vaguely pilot-related tasks such as climbing a plane staircase, speaking into a plane radio, navigating an obstacle course while rolling a suitcase, making a cool entrance while wearing pilot clothes, playing volleyball (due to the sport being featured in Fly Guys), and finally riding a plane kiddie ride.
Hind nonetheless proves to be a tough instructor, kicking Biff out of the course for having "emotional baggage" and picking on Kiff after she faints during her staircase test. He nearly flunks Kiff for not completing her final test, but after hearing her speech in which she proudly admits to not getting Cheryl's joke, he is so moved that he passes her and admits that contrary to his earlier claim that he became a pilot because of his love of clouds, he actually hates clouds.
