It's a jazz thing, baby!
Cheryl, "Kiff's on a Plane"
Cheryl is a minor character in the series Kiff. She is a jazz singer and one of Beryl Chatterley's friends from college.
Profile[]
Cheryl is a renowned jazz songstress and an old college friend of Beryl, Deryl, and Meryl. Their friend group is nicknamed "the Eryls" by Beryl's daughter Kiff.
Appearance[]
Cheryl is a bird with purple feathers who wears a bowler hat and shoes.
Personality[]
Given her musical background, Cheryl is fond of breaking out into dance and other jazz mannerisms such as scatting and riffing, even in casual conversation.
In "Kiff's on a Plane", Cheryl, Deryl, and Meryl visit Table Town to meet up with Beryl. At the airport, Cheryl comments that the baggage carousel "makes the auto club look like Frankenstein's china cabinet", a joke that Kiff fails to understand but laughs along with anyway. Later, after undergoing a rigorous flight training course at the Table Town Pilot School solely to prove that she was mature enough to get the joke, Kiff admits to not getting the joke. The Eryls then admit to not getting the joke either – including Cheryl, who says that it made no sense and that she was only riffing, which she explains is "a jazz thing".
