"Faculty Lounge" is the first segment of the nineteenth episode of the first season of Kiff. It is the thirty-seventh segment overall.

Synopsis[]

Kiff is determined to see the inside of the faculty lounge, but once inside struggles to escape.

Plot[]

Kiff and Barry are curious about the Table Town Middle School faculty lounge, which no student has ever entered. When there are no teachers inside the lounge, Kiff sneaks in to see what it looks like, only to discover that it is completely unremarkable. Before she can leave, Barry texts her that a teacher is coming, so she hides underneath a couch. Mr. RiPeppa enters the lounge and relaxes on the couch, then takes Miss Deer Teacher's sandwich from the fridge and eats it. Kiff texts Barry, asking him to create a distraction to make RiPeppa leave.

Miss Tulane enters the lounge and informs RiPeppa that his car has been "toad", as Barry has covered it in toads. However, he says that the toads can have the car, as it is old and he wants to get rid of it. Kiff exclaims in frustration and nearly blows her cover, but RiPeppa and Tulane do not investigate the noise and instead decide to move the couch. Kiff manages to cling to the couch while it is being moved, but RiPeppa then invites the rest of the faculty inside so they can all sit on the couch together. Kiff quickly jumps up onto the blade of a ceiling fan, which is then turned on by Secretary Prince, throwing Kiff into a cupboard. When the faculty retrieve their mugs from the cupboard, Kiff moves all the mugs to the front to avoid being detected at the back. She texts Barry and asks him to create a new distraction. Meanwhile, to prevent Miss Deer Teacher from noticing her missing sandwich, RiPeppa leads the faculty into a song.

Barry tangles himself on the swings in the playground, distracting the faculty. Kiff exits the cupboard and is about to exit the lounge when Principal Secretary enters, forcing her to hide in a closet. It is the end of the school day and the faculty are ready to leave, but Miss Deer Teacher finally notices that someone has eaten her sandwich. Principal Secretary declares that nobody can leave until the culprit confesses, even if this means he will be unable to pick up the school's new guidance counselor, Miss Foodcake, from the airport.

Kiff finds a pair of eyeglasses and puts them on to disguise herself, then exits the closet and introduces herself as Miss Foodcake, claiming to have taken a taxi to school earlier. Before leaving the lounge, she hints to the faculty that RiPeppa ate the sandwich, leading them to notice that a piece of its wrapper is stuck to his shoe. In the playground, Kiff untangles Barry from the swings, while the faculty punish RiPeppa by making him pick up the toads from earlier. At the airport, Miss Foodcake remains stuck waiting for Principal Secretary.
