"Kiff Calls Kylie Cantrall" is a short in Disney's Random Rings series. It is set in the Kiff universe and features a live-action appearance by Descendants: The Rise of Red star Kylie Cantrall.

Synopsis[]

An excited Kiff and Barry from Kiff call Kylie Cantrall from Descendants: The Rise of Red to persuade her to let them join the popular Descendants franchise.

Plot[]

Kiff and Barry call up Descendants: The Rise of Red star Kylie Cantrall using Kiff's phone. Cantrall, taking the call from her dressing room, asks the duo if they are the same Kiff and Barry whom she has just received a condiment-filled gift basket from, which Kiff confirms. Kiff tells Cantrall that she and Barry loved The Rise of Red and that they too would like to join the Descendants cast.

Cantrall replies that there might be room in the franchise for more children of Disney villains and asks if Kiff and Barry could see themselves playing such characters. Kiff replies in the affirmative, but then thinks again and notes that she actually comes from a nurturing home environment with very loving parents. Cantrall next asks if the duo can sing; Barry gives her a sample of his singing that leaves her decidedly unimpressed. Finally, she asks if they can dance.

Overhearing the conversation from outside, Helen breaks into Kiff's room through the window and steals the phone away from Kiff to introduce herself to Cantrall. Helen confirms that she sent Cantrall a second gift basket full of cabbage, then proceeds to do a series of dance moves in an attempt to get cast in Descendants as well. While Helen dances, Cantrall asks Kiff if Helen is aware that her dancing cannot be seen over the phone, but Kiff is too shocked by Helen's display to reply. Nonetheless, Cantrall says that she can put a good word with her director for Kiff, Barry, and Helen, to their happiness. Kiff thanks Cantrall and hangs up. Cantrall decides to sample the contents of her gift baskets and tries a piece of cabbage with mustard, which she enjoys.

Transcript[]

Kylie Cantrall: Hello?
Kiff: Hello. Is this Descendants: The Rise of Red star Kylie Cantrall?
Kylie Cantrall: Yes! Who's this?
Kiff: This is Kiff Chatterley.
Barry: And her best bud, Barry Buns!
Kylie Cantrall: Oh, right! Are you guys the ones that sent me that gift basket?
Kiff: Yep, that's us!
Kylie Cantrall: So much mustard. What's it for?
Barry: Oh, for hot dogs, corn dogs, any dog-themed food, really.
Kylie Cantrall: No, I mean, why the gift basket?
Kiff: We just wanted to tell you how much we love you in the new Descendants movie.
Barry: The formidable magic, the unlikely friendship, the raw power of dance!
Kiff: And we were kinda wondering... if we could be in the Descendants movies with you!
Barry: Please!
Kylie Cantrall: Oh, I see. I mean, I guess we could use a couple more kids of the Disney villains. Does that sound like a part you could play?
Kiff: Oh, definitely! I totally identify with the villain kids. My parents are super— Uh, I guess they're really nice.
Barry: Curse you, nurturing environment!
Kiff: Any other qualifications?
Kylie Cantrall: Uh, do you guys sing?
Barry: Does this answer your question?
Kylie Cantrall: It does.
Barry: Yes!
Kylie Cantrall: And how about dancing?
Helen: Did someone say "dance"?
Step aside, Kiff. It's me, Helen, dancer extraordinaire!
Kylie Cantrall: Oh, Helen! Are you the one that sent me the other gift basket?
Helen: Now don't go eating all that cabbage at once! Savor it. Anyway, check out these sweet dance moves!
Kylie Cantrall: Kiff, your friend knows I can't see her through the phone, right?
Helen: Dance moves!
So what do you think?
Kylie Cantrall: Well, Helen, I think I could put in a good word for you all with the director.
Helen: Yes! Descendants 5, here we come, baby!
Kiff: I can't believe we're gonna be villain kids! Thank you so much!
Kylie Cantrall: Bye, guys.
Kiff and Barry: Bye, Kylie!
Kylie Cantrall: Cabbage and mustard. Let's try.
Hmm.
