Kristophe Buns is a supporting character in the series Kiff. He is the younger brother of Harry, Terri, and Barry Buns.
Profile[]
Kristophe is the youngest child of Mary Buns, and lives with his mother, his older brothers Harry and Barry, and his older sister Terri in their home in suburban Table Town.
As he is still an infant, Kristophe is not yet able to speak and mostly stays silent, apart from making occasional wordless noises.
Appearance[]
Kristophe is a bunny with peach-colored fur and a light peach tail and underbelly. He has chubby cheeks, large round eyes with small far-apart pupils, a pink oval-shaped nose, and a buck tooth. Curiously, he has only one ear, unlike the rest of his family.
Personality[]
Being a toddler, Kristophe is often seen engaging in typical activities for a child his age, such as drawing and playing around the house. He is fiercely protective of his stuffed doll Farley, and gets upset when he is separated from it. In "The Fourth Bath", Harry, the doll's previous owner, retrieves Farley and ends up being attacked by Kristophe.
Kristophe plays a major role in "Farley", where the eponymous toy is accidentally stained with food by Kiff and needs to be drycleaned. Kiff substitutes as Farley in the meantime, and this leads to Kiff and Kristophe forming a strong bond. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Kristophe knew all along Kiff was only pretending to be Farley, but he nonetheless appreciates all she went through.
Relationships[]
Barry Buns and Kiff Chatterley[]
In "Farley", Barry and Kiff babysit Kristophe. Barry is shown to be knowledgeable about Kristophe's quirks, such as his refusal to eat unless Farley is given food as well. Kiff, however, is perplexed by how Kristophe treats the inanimate Farley as a friend. When Kiff accidentally stains Farley with food, Barry leaves to get the doll drycleaned, while Kiff stays at the Buns house and poses as Farley to prevent Kristophe from noticing the doll's disappearance. After spending the day playing with Kristophe, Kiff realizes how much Farley means to him. Kristophe later presents Kiff with a drawing of himself hugging Kiff in her Farley costume, revealing that he knew he was playing with Kiff the entire time, and gives Kiff a hug.
Barry and Kiff babysit Kristophe again in "Maybe-sitting". When Kristophe sneaks off to play with Farley in a closet, Kiff and Barry panic over his disappearance and are led to believe that Kristophe dug a tunnel in the backyard, prompting them to try to intercept his tunnel before he can escape. Mary later offers Kiff a permanent gig as Kristophe's babysitter.
Mary, Harry, and Terri Buns[]
Mary dotes on Kristophe like a typical mother and can often be seen cradling him in her arms. When Mary leaves the house, she asks her other children, and sometimes Kiff, to babysit Kristophe.
In "Maybe-sitting", Mary assigns Harry and Terri to babysit Kristophe, but they do not take the job very seriously. However, the two later trash the house in search of Kristophe when they are told that he has gone missing.
Appearances[]
Trivia[]
- Kristophe is the only member of the Buns family whose name does not rhyme with "airy".
- His appearance is somewhat similar to that of Bongo from Matt Groening's comic strip Life in Hell. Lucy Heavens and Nic Smal were big fans of Groening's work, including The Simpsons, as children, and they have cited Groening as an influence on Kiff.
