Miss Moufflé, "Club Book"
Miss Moufflé is a recurring character in the series Kiff. She is the librarian of the Table Town Public Library.
Profile[]
Miss Moufflé is the librarian of the Table Town Public Library. Before becoming a librarian, she worked as a soufflé baker. Outside of work, Moufflé is also a member of the Table Town Riddler's Society.
Appearance[]
Miss Moufflé is a yellow giraffe with long brown hair, a long neck covered in dark orange spots, two eyelashes on each eye, two small nostrils, gray rounded hooved hands and feet two rounded ears perked down, two gray short and small antennae and black thin eyebrows. She wears an olive sweater with a light olive frilly collar, a dark teal skirt, and hangs her glasses around her neck.

Miss Moufflé takes her duties as a librarian seriously, especially when it comes to maintaining silence in the library. She regularly shushes noisy library patrons, and considers the library's soundproof "hush room" as her "happy place". When Moufflé briefly returns to her old job as a soufflé baker after Kiff's takeover of the library in "Club Book", she retains her shushing habit and insists on silence in her bakery.
Befitting her love of silence, Miss Moufflé talks in a gentle and soft-spoken manner. When she is angered, however, her demeanor abruptly turns frighteningly intense, to the point that she has to restrain herself.

As Kiff frequently visits the library, Miss Moufflé is accustomed to Kiff and even believes that Kiff has the potential to be a librarian in the future. The two have very different approaches to reading, however, with Kiff preferring to read loudly and Moufflé preferring silence.
In "Club Book", Kiff is unable to control her excitement while reading in the library and finds herself repeatedly shushed by Miss Moufflé. In retaliation, Kiff takes over Moufflé's job and turns the Table Town Public Library into a loud library, only to end up seeking Moufflé's help when the library becomes too loud. Together, Kiff and Moufflé use the library's silencing equipment to make the noisy patrons leave. After being made librarian again, Moufflé admits that she respects that Kiff, although being in the wrong, stood up for what she believed in, and decides to let Kiff use the hush room for loud reading.
