Mount Table is a recurring location in the series Kiff. It is the highest mountain in Table Town.

Background[]

Mount Table is the highest mountain in Table Town, towering over the city's metropolitan area. It is an icy, snow-covered mountain surrounded by clouds. Lady Jane Harness was the first person to reach the mountain's summit.

The mountain is first visited in person in "Lore of the Ring Light", where Kiff and Barry must destroy the titular magic ring light by dropping it into a volcanic hole at the mountain's peak. In "Kiff Has to Sneeze", Kiff attends a retreat on Mount Table to train her body to sneeze on command.

The volcanic hole at the peak of Mount Table is an allusion to Mount Doom from J. R. R. Tolkien's book series The Lord of the Rings.

Like Table Town, Mount Table is named after Table Mountain, which overlooks the South African city of Cape Town, the main inspiration for Table Town.
