Rat is a recurring character in the series Kiff. He is the owner of Rat's Hats and Mats.
Profile[]
Rat is the owner of Rat's Hats and Mats, a store in Table Town that sells headwear of all kinds and several types of mats.
Appearance[]
Rat is, as his name suggests, a rat. He is typically seen wearing a red bow tie, a pointed purple hat decorated with graphics of pointed hats and welcome mats, and two mats strapped to his feet.
Personality[]
Rat is a business-minded individual and, as shown when he briefly employs Harry Buns at his store, a stern boss.
When Harry runs away from home in "Harry's Maturity Crisis" and finds himself needing a place to live, Rat hires him as a sales clerk at Rat's Hats and Mats and lets him stay in the store's back room. Harry is later reprimanded by Rat for refusing to assist a thinly-disguised Kiff and Barry, who are only shopping at the store to annoy Harry into quitting.

Rat makes his first appearance in "Hat". When Barry's hat is blown by the wind into Rat's Hats and Mats, Rat confuses it for one of his products and refuses to let Kiff retrieve it without paying. Kiff raises enough money to pay for the hat, only to learn that Rat has already sold it to another customer, Rockwell.
