"Rock Kick" is the first segment of the thirteenth episode of the second season of Kiff. It is the eighty-ninth segment overall.
Synopsis[]
Kiff and Barry try to kick a rock all the way home.
Plot[]
After one of the most eventful, hijink-filled days they have ever had at Table Town Middle School, Kiff and Barry head home together. While chatting with Barry, Kiff instinctively starts kicking a rock along her path as she continues walking. Eventually, Kiff and Barry notice that Kiff has managed to kick the rock all the way across the road, which is farther than she has ever kicked a rock before. The two decide to kick the rock all the way home.
The duo's quest runs into early trouble when they accidentally kick the rock down a ravine and have to descend the ravine to retrieve it. Afterwards, the rock is taken by a bird, who flies away with it. Barry wraps Kiff in his ears and grabs onto the bird, who refuses to part with the rock but agrees to take the duo to his home. There, the bird, an artist who goes by the name Dumb Bird, explains that he wants to use the rock as a component for one of his new rock art pieces. However, after learning that Kiff and Barry are friends with his art hero Ghost Wolf, Dumb Bird agrees to return the rock in exchange for a meeting with Ghost Wolf, which Kiff is able to arrange.
Kiff receives the rock from Dumb Bird and kicks it out the door, forgetting that his house is located all the way up in a tall tree. The rock falls down the tree and lands in front of a clorps flower, which is famous for blooming for only three hours every thirty years, and is coincidentally just about to bloom. The area surrounding the flower is closed off so that people can take pictures with the flower, forcing Kiff and Barry to wait three hours until they can recover the rock. Shortly after, a man picks up the rock and skips it across a stream, forcing Kiff and Barry to locate the rock underwater.
Kiff and Barry reach the tram station and prepare to take a tram home. When Kiff kicks the rock toward the arriving tram, however, the disembarking passengers, who are returning from the Table Town Punting Convention, mistake Kiff for a fellow punting enthusiast, and one of them proceeds to punt the rock off a cliff. The rock lands inside the Table Town Rock Hall of Fame. Kiff and Barry visit the museum and meet its curator, Granite Rockberg, who declares that the rock is a piece of art, but agrees to return it to the duo in exchange for a meeting with Dumb Bird after learning that the duo know him.
After a long trek through the desert, Kiff and Barry finally reach the Chatterley residence at nightfall. Feeling unsatisfied, the duo begin to question whether their experience was actually worth it, until the rock reveals that it has been able to talk the entire time and congratulates them on their accomplishment.

The team...rocked it (sorry). Check out the song if you haven't already. Comments on social media are leaving rave reviews like "actually a pretty good song". - ↑ Smal, Nic (June 21, 2025). Kicking That Rock - featuring ORVILLE PECK! This is an absolute career high point. I wrote this song which we then sent to Orville Peck. He agreed to lay down his flawless vocals on it and I’m still battling to believe this is all even real. He even voices a character in the episode. “Rock Kick” will be out in the first batch of season 2 episodes to hit Disney Plus 23rd July! #Kiff #orvillepeck. Instagram. Retrieved on June 26, 2025.
