"Snow More Ketchup" is the first segment of the twenty-sixth episode of the first season of Kiff. It is the fifty-first segment overall.
Synopsis[]
Tensions rise when everyone is trapped in the Fox mansion during a snowstorm and ketchup shortage.
Plot[]
A snowstorm has hit Table Town, and Tabletonians are having fun in the snow at the park. Suddenly, the storm worsens, and the intense snowfall makes it difficult for those outside to see their surroundings. The Chatterley and Buns families, along with Reggie, Helen, and the Pone, manage to find each other and begin trekking through the snow together in search of shelter. They come across Roy and Candle, and Roy offers to let them stay in his nearby mansion until the storm subsides.
Soon after everyone arrives at the Fox mansion, the mansion suffers a power outage, though its generator manages to restore limited power. Roy tells his guests that they can stay as long as they need to, as the mansion is stocked with enough food and emergency supplies. He prepares everyone french fries to eat, only for them to discover that the ketchup bottle is nearly empty. Martin tries to leave to buy more ketchup at Slim Pickins, but the storm is too intense. Roy rations the remaining ketchup in the bottle, which leaves each person with only a squirt of ketchup. He then takes some fries and leaves the room, while the others struggle to enjoy their fries without ketchup.
Candle confides to Kiff, Barry, and Reggie that she suspects her father is somewhere in the mansion partaking in his secret stash of ketchup, so the four decide to search for Roy and the ketchup. After looking through numerous rooms and finding nothing, they have Reggie reverse-engineer the parental monitoring app on Candle's smartwatch to instead display Roy's location. The app leads the children to the mansion's library, but inside, they find a cardboard cutout of Roy with Roy's smartwatch attached to it, along with a piece of paper bearing a taunting message from him: "Looking for catsup?" They read the last word in the message as "cats up" and look up to the ceiling, which has a mural of three cats holding ketchup bottles.
Barry is driven insane by his desperation for ketchup. He builds a tower of books and tries to reach the ketchup bottles in the ceiling mural, then hallucinates that his friends are ketchup bottles and chases them through the mansion. During their chase, they pass the hot tub room and discover Roy eating fries in the tub, which he has filled with ketchup from his stash. When Roy refuses to share the ketchup, the children prepare to attack him, but before they can, electricity is fully restored to the mansion. The now-powered tub is unable to handle the ketchup and ends up flooding the entire mansion with ketchup. The flood carries Roy and the children all the way back to the first floor, where everyone is relieved to finally have ketchup for their fries. Meanwhile, the snowstorm has subsided outside.
