The Pone, "Chatterley vs. Chatterley"
The Pone is a recurring character in the series Kiff. He lives next door to the Chatterley residence.
Profile[]
The Pone visits the Chatterleys.
The Pone is the Chatterleys' next-door neighbor. He lives in the suburbs of Table Town with his wife Cherry Berry, in the house to the right of the Chatterley residence.
Appearance[]
The Pone is an alpaca with cream fur and long orange hair which he keeps tied in a ponytail, hence his name. He is typically seen wearing yellow shorts.
Personality[]
The Pone is known to speak in heavy, exaggerated slang and tends to babble on when talking. He is nevertheless good-natured, and is even friendly toward his neighbor Martin Chatterley despite Martin's open contempt for him.
In "Stramded", he asks Cherry Berry out to dinner, causing her to forget about her duties at the Table Town Aerial Tram and leave Kiff, Barry, and the rest of the crew stranded mid-air in a busted tram car. The two reappear as a couple in "OTDR", and eventually get married in "Here Comes the Wedding Episode". In the latter episode, it is revealed that Martin indirectly brought about the couple's first meeting by refusing to drive the Pone to the mechanic shop that day.
Relationships[]
Kiff Chatterley and Barry Buns[]
Barry and the Pone's mutual clumsiness frustrates Kiff.
In "Leave a Little Juice", Barry sees the Pone mowing his lawn under the scorching sun and offers him a glass of the Chatterleys' Pulp OJ orange juice to quench his thirst. The glass slips out of the Pone's hand, so Kiff pours both him and Barry new glasses of juice, which they then accidentally break, to her frustration.
Martin Chatterley[]
The Pone as a witness in Martin's "family court" trial.
Martin often finds himself irritated by the Pone, whose talkativeness and outgoing demeanor he finds annoying. Nonetheless, the Pone treats Martin as a friend, despite Martin often rejecting his gestures of kindness.
At the end of "Leave a Little Juice", the Pone visits the Chatterleys to give them a new jug of Pulp OJ, but Martin, despite his own love for orange juice, shuts the door on the Pone. In "Chatterley vs. Chatterley", the Pone is summoned as a witness during Martin's "family court" trial and is about to give testimony that will clear Martin's name, but Martin refuses to let him testify and has him removed from the court.
When the Pone asks Martin to be the best man at his wedding in "Here Comes the Wedding Episode", Martin accepts under the assumption that after getting married, the Pone will finally leave the neighborhood to move in with Cherry. However, Martin and the Pone end up bonding over bachelor party activities, and after the wedding, the married couple end up staying next to the Chatterleys after all.
