"Trevor's Rockin' Halloween Bash" is the twentieth episode of the first season of Kiff. It is a double-length special and serves as the thirty-ninth and fortieth segments overall.
Synopsis[]
Kiff is ready to have a spooky Halloween, but Barry gets scared easily.
Plot[]
The night before Halloween at the Chatterley residence, Kiff suggests watching the horror movie Were-House! on Table+, but it scares Barry, so they watch the children's show Chubbles Wubbington's Spooky Post Stories instead. The next day at Table Town Middle School, Candle invites her schoolmates to her Halloween party that night, but the invitation card alone frightens Barry, so Kiff and Barry go to Trevor's less scary party instead.
At Trevor's house, Kiff, Barry, and Trevor carve pumpkins and play a board game until Candle unexpectedly arrives with her party guests, as the spider decorations at her party turned out to be real spiders. Candle and her guests turn Trevor's party vibrant and spooky, frightening Barry, who opts for continuing the board game with Kiff and Trevor in the attic. During the game, Kiff finds various excuses to go downstairs and experience the party. Barry sees that Kiff and Trevor would rather be partying downstairs, so he encourages Trevor to do so, then creates a fake excuse for Kiff to go back downstairs. Meanwhile, back at the Fox mansion, Roy expects to have a quiet night to himself, only to find the mansion overrun by spiders. After initially trying to fight them off, he eventually befriends the spiders.
Alone in the attic, Barry decides to face his fears. He goes downstairs but is still frightened by the party, so he enters the basement, where he finds Michaela and Nick being dared by Kyle to read from a book of spells. Barry accepts the dare and reads out a spell from the book, which summons a demon named Scarm Scaremly. Scarm wishes to join the party upstairs, but cannot without an invitation card. In exchange for Barry's invitation, Scarm offers to grant Barry his wish to be as brave as Kiff. Barry gives Scarm the invitation, which Scarm swallows, while Scarm gives Barry a contract entitling him to his wish. Barry signs it, but he forgets to read the fine print and is belatedly told by Scarm that the wish will only last for 30 minutes.
Barry leads Scarm upstairs to the party and runs into Kiff. Outside Trevor's house, Barry demonstrates to Kiff that he is now brave. Inside, Scarm wreaks havoc at the party by turning the guests into sentient Halloween decorations and eating all the candy, which allows him to grow in size. Seeing Scarm burst through the roof and fly off to downtown Table Town, Kiff and Barry head back inside, where Barry admits that he summoned Scarm and that his bravery is a result of their contract. Trevor, who has been turned into a basketball hoop decoration, asks to see the book from which Scarm was summoned. He reads it and informs Kiff and Barry that they can stop Scarm by taking back his invitation, then imprisoning him inside the book by opening it in front of him.
With 12 minutes left until Barry's wish wears off, Kiff and Barry head downtown, where Scarm has turned more people into decorations and grown to gigantic size. While they hide from Scarm, Kiff apologizes to Barry for neglecting him earlier at the party, and they make up. To recover the invitation from Scarm's stomach, Barry dresses as a piece of candy corn and lets Scarm swallow him. Inside Scarm's stomach, he meets the "stomach people". One of them, Pete, explains that they are the candy-costumed partygoers whom Scarm consumed at the very first Halloween party, resulting in Scarm's original imprisonment in the spell book. Barry learns that Pete's son has the invitation, so he trades the child a turkey hand puppet for it.
Meanwhile, Kiff puts on a witch costume and gets Scarm's attention, then removes her costume to reveal a dentist's uniform underneath; this convinces Scarm that Kiff is a real dentist who dressed as a witch for Halloween, rather than someone merely wearing a dentist costume. She asks to inspect his teeth, so he lies down and opens his mouth, which allows Barry and the stomach people to sneakily escape. Kiff prepares to finish her "inspection" by giving Scarm some brushing techniques from her dentist manual, but he sees that the "manual" is actually the spell book and realizes he has been tricked. Barry tears the invitation, but Scarm whips the book out of Kiff's hands before she can open it, and it lands on the roof of Table Town City Hall.
Scarm prepares to turn Kiff and Barry into decorations, but Roy suddenly arrives riding a horse made of spiders and rescues the two. The spiders envelop Kiff and form a tower which lifts her up to the City Hall roof, allowing her to retrieve the book and finally entrap Scarm inside it. With Scarm imprisoned again, everyone who was turned into a decoration is reverted back to normal. Barry checks his phone and notices that the timer he had been using to monitor his wish is frozen at 12 minutes, making him realize that he managed to be brave and defeat Scarm even after the wish had worn off.
The next evening at the Chatterley residence, Barry finally feels brave enough to watch Were-House!, but Kiff, who is still unnerved by the spiders from the night before, notices a spider in the movie's title screen and suggests that they watch something else. Meanwhile, Trevor remains stuck in his basement, hanging on the wall in his basketball hoop costume.

- Upon arriving at Trevor's house, Candle greets Trevor, Kiff, and Barry "Happy Halloween, you lucky animals!", a nod to the line "Merry Christmas, you filthy animal!" from the 1992 film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
