"Two for One Hot Dogs" is the second segment of the seventh episode of the first season of Kiff. It is the fourteenth segment overall.
Synopsis[]
Kiff and Barry spiral when they learn their best days are behind them.
Plot[]
Kiff and Barry have bought hot dogs from the Fran's Franks hot dog stand in the Table Town Park, which sells two hot dogs for the price of one. After eating their hot dogs, they see a billboard advertising the two-for-one deal with the slogan "It doesn't get better than this!" Kiff and Barry take the slogan literally and begin pondering whether their lives have indeed peaked. They try having fun at the carnival to prove the slogan wrong, but still feel unsatisfied. Frustrated, they return to the hot dog stand, where they steal a pack of buns and destroy it in a fit of rage.
Helen overhears Kiff and Barry saying how they regret having eaten the hot dogs, so she offers to perform a time reversal spell for them in exchange for them agreeing to say the catchphrase "Helen's up" whenever they see her. Helen performs the spell, but it stops reversing time before it can undo the moment Kiff and Barry ate the hot dogs. Believing that their lives have peaked, the two pack their belongings and move into the Dusty Acres Retirement Home to live out the rest of their days.
That night, Kiff and Barry cannot get to sleep, as a noisy party is happening outside. After initially trying to ignore the party, they both eventually admit that they want to live normally again and head outside, where they are shocked to see that the party is being thrown by the retirement home's elderly residents. While partying, Kiff and Barry suddenly recall the hot dogs and become glum again, but just as they are about to leave the party, they see that one of the partygoers is the model from the billboard, who is having a great time. Kiff and Barry realize that they were foolish to have taken the billboard so seriously, and that they are still capable of having fun after all.
